Examination and promotions
1. In order to access the progress of each student, examinations are conducted regularly. A terminal examination and other unit tests will be held during the year prior to the Annual Examination and the results will be sent to the parents regularly.
2. The parents are requested to examine the Progress Report carefully and see that the child makes special effort to study those subject in which he/she is weak. The report must be duly signed and returned within the stipulated times.
3. On the basis of average marks and the general performance of the whole year, promotion to the next higher class is considered.
4. Minimum marks in each subject will be 40%. Promotion may be denied to pupil if his/her attendance for the year is insufficient. 75% attendance is required for promotion.
5. Answer sheets of annual examination shall not be shown to the parents unless and otherwise with a remission of Rs. 100/- for each paper by the parents. An application to this effect shall be made by them not later than 10 days after the result. Three days after the application has been made, the concerned papers shall be made available for the view of the parents.
Admission to Class XI
Students who appear for the ICSE Examination will have to seek fresh admission to class XI. At the time of admission the criteria for admission to Science and Arts Stream will be decided by the Principal. Admission to class XI is totally at the discretion of the management of the school.
They should above all, have good character certificate from the school they have passed the Secondary Examination.
Those applying for the Science Stream should have 75% marks in science and Mathematics.
Those applying for the Arts, Commerce Stream should have 60% marks in the over all. Application forms duly filled in are to be submitted with a copy of ICSE- Madhyamik marks sheet and progress Report of Class IX and X on the date notified.
If a minimum number of 20 candidates are not there for either streams, that stream may be abolished for that particular year. Whatever rules are in the prospectus of the school are also binding on students of classes XI and XII and their parents and guardians.
There may be other requirement which will be mentioned from year to year.
